About Caramea
Hello! I am a Grade 12 IB Diploma student and a Principal's Honor Roll student with a strong interest in science and a passion for helping others learn. I especially enjoy biology and finding ways to break down complicated concepts into information that feels clear and manageable.
Having completed DP1 of the IB Diploma, I understand how much content students are expected to learn and how important it is to develop effective study strategies alongside subject knowledge. Through my volunteer tutoring experience, I've enjoyed helping students build not only their understanding of the material, but also their confidence, study habits, and independence.
I recognize that science can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when there is a lot of terminology and information to remember. I adapt my approach to each student's learning style and focus on helping them understand concepts rather than simply memorizing them. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and never feel embarrassed if they need something explained differently.
I'll always provide a patient, supportive, and professional environment where students can learn at their own pace while working toward their goals.

I offer online Science and Biology tutoring for students from elementary school through Grade 12, with particular experience as an IB student in the Diploma Programme.
Lessons can be adapted to the student's needs, whether they need help understanding a difficult concept, reviewing material, preparing for a test, organizing their notes, or developing more effective study strategies. I can also provide guidance and advice for students taking IB Biology and help them become more comfortable with the expectations of the IB curriculum.
Rather than focusing only on memorization, I aim to help students understand how concepts connect so that they can apply what they've learned to new questions and problems.
Lessons are held online through Google Meet or Zoom.
