About Sanuthi Vihansa
Hi, I'm Sanuthi. I'm a Master of Cybersecurity student at RMIT and a software engineering graduate, and I teach Math and ICT to students in Years 1 to 7 around Melbourne. I've been teaching for about one year, and I've learned that most struggles come down to one small gap. Once we find it and fill it, everything starts to click. I keep my lessons patient, hands-on, and relaxed, because I really believe students learn best when they feel safe to make mistakes. Honestly, nothing beats that moment when something finally makes sense and you see a kid's confidence grow.

I'm a Software Engineering graduate and current Master's student in Cybersecurity at RMIT University, offering Maths and ICT tutoring for students in Years 1 to 7 across Melbourne either online or in person.
My teaching approach is patient, encouraging and student-centred. I start by finding out where a student actually is what they understand and where they're getting stuck and then build from the basics up, breaking tricky concepts into small, clear steps. I use plenty of worked examples, everyday analogies and hands-on practice, and I check understanding as I go rather than rushing ahead.
For Maths, I focus on building genuine understanding and confidence rather than memorising rules, for ICT, I make things practical and fun so students enjoy learning how technology works. I adapt my pace and style to suit each learner, and I like to finish with a quick "your turn" so students leave feeling capable.
I bring voluntary teaching experience, along with three years working as an associate software engineer, so I know these subjects deeply and how to explain them simply. I'm also a Toastmasters member, which has sharpened how I communicate and keep lessons engaging.
Lessons typically run 60 minutes, though I'm happy to adjust to shorter or longer sessions depending on the student's age, attention span and goals. My lessons are designed for primary and early-secondary students (Years 1–7) who want to strengthen their fundamentals, prepare for school assessments, or simply build confidence in Maths and ICT.
