About Ermyas
Hello! I'm Ermiyas, a passionate mathematics tutor with a strong academic background in engineering, computational science, and bioinformatics. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Robotics and Automation Engineering, where mathematics formed the foundation of subjects such as calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, probability, optimization, and control systems. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Bioinformatics, applying advanced mathematics, statistics, and computational methods to solve real-world biological problems.
Throughout my academic journey, I have discovered that mathematics is much more than a collection of formulas—it is a way of thinking, analyzing, and solving problems. This perspective has shaped both my studies and my approach to tutoring.
I enjoy helping students overcome challenges, build confidence, and develop strong problem-solving skills. I believe mathematics is best understood through logical thinking and real-world applications rather than memorizing formulas. My academic journey—from earning an engineering degree in Robotics and Automation to pursuing a Master's in Bioinformatics—has shown me how mathematics is the foundation of engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, and biological research. Every day I apply concepts such as calculus, linear algebra, probability, statistics, and optimization to solve real computational problems, and I bring that practical perspective into every lesson.
My teaching begins by identifying your current level, learning style, and the concepts that are causing difficulty. Instead of rushing to answers, I explain the underlying ideas using intuitive examples, diagrams, and step-by-step reasoning. Once the concepts are clear, we solve progressively challenging problems together until you can confidently work independently.
A typical lesson includes:

2. Clear explanations with visual illustrations where helpful.
