About Natasha

Hi everyone!

I am a second-year Engineering Degree Apprentice at Rolls-Royce, studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Derby. I am very passionate about working in the industry and enthusiastic to learn as much as possible along the way!

I studied Maths (A*), Further Maths (B) and Physics (B) at A-Level, as well as AS-Level Chemistry. I believe that every student should achieve to the best of their ability in a supportive but challenging environment, so students may reach their full potential.

About the lesson

I offer tuition in KS3 and GCSE Mathematics, Further Mathematics and (Triple) Science. For A-Level students, I offer Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics tutoring. I also help primary school students with Maths and have experience tutoring SEND Secondary. The duration of lessons would be one hour.

Working in industry alongside my studies provides me with experience in both academia and a professional environment. Having gone through the process myself, I also offer career development sessions which may include mentoring or assistance with personal statements and mock interviews.

Delivery of the lesson is dependent on the student's specific learning style. I aim to make the experience personalised to the student in order to achieve the best results. Learning techniques may include visual representation of problems, worked examples, past paper questions under timed conditions and games to enhance student engagement. I teach in a similar manner that you would expect in a small A-Level class. I tend to give students past paper exams to complete and keep a confidential record of their progress. This method allows me to focus on the student's true weaknesses during lesson time.
