About Amartya
I’m someone who genuinely enjoys helping students understand why things work, not just what to memorize. With a background in life sciences, I value clarity, curiosity, and calm learning environments. I teach because I like seeing students gain confidence when complex ideas finally click. My aim is to make learning feel less intimidating and more logical, so students feel supported, capable, and motivated to think independently.

My approach to tutoring is concept-first and student-focused. I begin by understanding the student’s level, goals, and weak points, then structure lessons accordingly. I rely heavily on visual explanations, diagrams, simple demonstrations, and real-life analogies to make abstract concepts intuitive. Lessons are clearly paced, interactive, and focused on building strong fundamentals before moving to exam-oriented problem solving. I encourage questions, curiosity, and independent thinking so students gain confidence and genuine understanding rather than memorising content.
