About Mohit

Hello, my name is Mohit, and I am a Dean’s List Scholar at Rutgers University studying Computer Science and Economics with a minor in Data Science. With a strong academic background that includes completing courses such as Calculus II, I bring both subject expertise and real teaching experience to my tutoring. I have taught and mentored over 250 students in math, programming, and chess, which has allowed me to refine my ability to explain concepts in ways that are clear, engaging, and tailored to different learning styles. Students can feel confident knowing that I combine patience, professionalism, and proven results in every session. I understand that learning can be challenging, so I focus on creating a supportive environment where mistakes are viewed as opportunities to grow. My goal is not only to help students succeed in their coursework, but also to give them the tools and confidence to become independent learners. When you work with me, you’re choosing a tutor who is dedicated, approachable, and passionate about helping students reach their full potential.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I believe every student learns differently, so my approach is built around personalization, patience, and engagement. I start by identifying the student’s strengths, challenges, and goals, then adapt my teaching method to match their learning style—whether that’s step-by-step explanations, visual aids, practice problems, or real-world examples.

A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by a focused introduction to new concepts. I then guide the student through practice problems, gradually shifting responsibility so they build independence and confidence. I always leave time for questions and a short recap to ensure mastery before moving forward.

What sets me apart is my ability to make learning both clear and enjoyable. With experience teaching over 250+ students in math, coding, and chess, I know how to break down complex ideas into simple, manageable steps. My lessons are designed for middle school through high school students who want to strengthen their math foundation, improve problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in their abilities.
