About Shree
I have a PhD in Sanskrit and Indian Philosophy from the Faculty of Asian and Middle-Eastern Studies, University of Oxford. During my PhD, I tutored undergraduate and masters Oxford students in beginner as well as intermediate Sanskrit. My areas of expertise include Sanskrit philosophical, poetic, and religious texts. I firmly believe in reading Sanskrit texts with an open, critical, and non-discriminatory mindset. In my spare time, I enjoy composing Sanskrit poetry.

This class is intended for adults who wish to learn Sanskrit in order to be able to read classical Indian religious, philosophical, and literary classics in their original language.
The class will teach the grammar of Sanskrit supplemented by extracts from Sanskrit classics. No prior knowledge of Sanskrit is required, we will start from the basics.
Needless to say, I will modify my teaching approach according to the particular needs and goals of the student.
I am happy to work with both students preparing for school/university examinations as well as enthusiasts learning for their own edification.
