About Philip

Hello! I’m a dedicated maths tutor with a strong background in mathematics, problem-solving and analytical thinking.

I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). My engineering education has given me extensive experience working with mathematics, logical reasoning and complex problem-solving — skills that I bring to every tutoring session.

I specialise in helping high-school students prepare for SAT Math and ACT Math, particularly students who may feel unsure or lack confidence in their maths abilities.

My teaching approach is patient, supportive and personalised. I take the time to understand where each student is struggling, explain concepts clearly, and break challenging problems into manageable steps. I also focus on helping students understand why a solution works rather than simply memorising formulas.

Whether you're preparing for your first SAT or ACT, working to improve your maths skills, or aiming to feel more confident when tackling challenging questions, I’ll tailor our lessons to your individual needs and goals.

My goal is to help you strengthen your maths foundation, develop effective problem-solving skills, improve your performance and approach test day with greater confidence.

SAT & ACT Math Tutoring

My SAT and ACT Math lessons are designed for high-school students who want to strengthen their maths skills, build confidence and improve their test performance.

I tailor each lesson to the student's current level, goals and areas of difficulty. We focus on understanding the mathematics behind the questions while developing effective strategies for approaching test-style problems.

My goal is not simply to help you memorise formulas. I want you to understand the maths, know how to approach different types of questions, and feel more confident on test day.

Whether you're just beginning your SAT or ACT preparation or want focused support in specific areas, lessons will be adapted to your needs and goals.
