Preparing for the SAT can feel overwhelming—but you won’t be doing it alone. My lessons are structured, personalized, and designed to build confidence as well as high scores.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Before the first lesson, I ask for a recent SAT practice test—or I’ll assign one. Your first lesson is free, and during it, I carefully analyze your results to identify:

Conceptual gaps

Careless mistakes

Weak domains, subtopics, and difficulty levels
(using the same classification system as the College Board)

From there, I build a custom learning plan based on your goal score, weekly study time, test dates, and availability. I also send weekly progress emails so parents and students can track improvement clearly.

WHAT LESSONS LOOK LIKE

Every student learns differently, and I adapt our sessions to match your pace and learning style.

Homework is optional—assigned only to students who want it.

I help students improve both accuracy and speed, especially in identifying question types quickly.

Concepts are taught step-by-step, with plenty of guided practice.

Sessions can be recorded and uploaded privately for review at any time (optional).

Whether you’re brand new to the SAT or aiming for a top percentile score, you’ll get a lesson designed for you.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I meet students where they are—academically and emotionally.

The SAT can be stressful, so I focus on clarity, encouragement, and building confidence. My approach balances:

- Strong academic instruction

- Test-taking strategy

- Stress management and mindset coaching

You’ll practice using official College Board questions and high-quality custom materials to master:

- Digital SAT format & Desmos tools

- Most-tested math and grammar rules

- Reading skills for quick, accurate comprehension

- Speed and timing strategies

- Trap-avoidance techniques

- Score-boosting strategies tailored to you

Find out more about Forsuh caleb

  • 1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

I developed an interest in teaching during my high school years when I often helped my classmates understand difficult topics, especially in English and Math. I gathered them in little groups to teach them hard concepts .I realized I had a natural ability to explain complex ideas in a simple and relatable way. Over time, that interest grew into a genuine passion for tutoring and helping students reach their goals.
  • 2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

I teach English and Math, focusing on test preparation for exams like the SAT, ACT, and TOEFL. I enjoy working on reading comprehension, grammar, and essay writing with students because I love seeing their confidence improve. In Math, I like tackling problem-solving and algebra. I’m less excited about repetitive drills, but I understand they’re necessary for mastering the basics.
  • 3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

Yes, I had an English teacher who always believed in me, even when I doubted myself. She had a way of making every lesson engaging and personal. That experience taught me how powerful encouragement can be, and I try to bring that same energy into my lessons.
  • 4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

A good tutor should be patient, adaptable, and genuinely interested in the student’s progress. It’s important to listen, to adjust teaching methods to each learner’s style, and to create an encouraging environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and grow from them.
  • 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

I once worked with a student called Lucie who struggled with SAT reading. She felt completely stuck at first, but after a few weeks of practice and strategy sessions, her score jumped by over 150 points. Seeing her joy and confidence after that improvement reminded me why I love teaching.
  • 6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

One challenge I faced early on was finding ways to keep students motivated when progress felt slow. Over time, I learned to set small goals and celebrate each milestone, which makes the learning process more rewarding for both me and my students.
  • 7) Do you have a particular passion?

My biggest passion is helping people unlock their potential. Teaching gives me a chance to do that every day. Beyond tutoring, I also enjoy learning new things myself—especially about technology and communication.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview question :-P)?

I care deeply about my students’ success and tailor every lesson to their individual needs. I believe in building confidence first, because once a student believes they can do it, the results follow naturally. That’s what makes me a Superprof.
