About Amelia
I am a Mathematics tutor with 9 years of teaching experience and a Master of Mathematics (MMath) qualification. My teaching focuses on building strong formal reasoning skills that go beyond routine problem solving. My teaching approach for Mathematics is nurturing, personalized, and focused on building strong understanding step by step. I teach school and university level maths including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, probability, and number theory. I also include advanced and fun areas like logic puzzles, recreational mathematics, and basic game theory to make learning more engaging. My goal is to help learners see mathematics as a creative and enjoyable subject, not just a set of rules. I use real life examples such as budgeting, shopping, sports, and daily decision making to connect maths with everyday scenarios. Lessons are interactive and adapted to each learner’s pace and style. I encourage students to ask questions freely and explore different ways of solving problems. I also focus on building strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Practice sessions include puzzle solving and logical challenges to strengthen thinking ability. Support is provided in exam preparation, homework, and assignments with clear step by step guidance. I also guide learners in developing confidence in tackling complex problems independently. Regular feedback and encouragement help in steady improvement. The overall aim is to make mathematics enjoyable, meaningful, and easier to master while supporting consistent academic growth.
