About Maria

Hi there, I'm Maria, a student at the University of Keele, where I'm studying neuroscience. I have a genuine love for children, and my experiences as a babysitter have taught me invaluable lessons – there's so much to learn from these little ones!

Back in my hometown in Spain, I dedicated two years to providing after-school tutoring for kids. It was a rewarding experience that fueled my passion for teaching. I also had the chance to live in the USA for a year, and now I call England home.

One thing you should know about me is that I am incredibly empathetic. Connecting with kids, understanding their unique perspectives, and witnessing their success in school brings me immense joy. Teaching isn't just a job for me; it's a heartfelt journey, and I'm excited to share it with your child!

About the lesson

After School Tutoring: Where Learning is Fun!

Is your child struggling with schoolwork? Do they need extra support to excel in their studies? Look no further! I'm here to help!

I offer personalized after-school tutoring for children aged 5 to 13. With years of experience and a passion for teaching, I understand that every child learns differently. That's why I adapts my classes to suit the individual needs and learning styles of each student.

At my tutoring sessions, your child will receive:

Personalized Attention: I carefully assess each student's strengths and weaknesses, tailoring my teaching approach accordingly.

Comprehensive Revision: Whether it's preparing for exams or catching up on missed concepts, I ensure that every topic is covered thoroughly.

Clear Explanations: No more confusion! I believe that if a child doesn't understand something, it's because I haven't found the right way to explain it yet. I breaks down complex topics into easy-to-understand concepts, ensuring clarity and comprehension.

Empathy and Productivity: I create a supportive learning environment based on empathy and encouragement. I believes in fostering a positive attitude towards learning while promoting productivity and achievement.

Fun Learning: Learning should be enjoyable! I incorporate interactive activities, games, and hands-on experiences to keep lessons engaging and fun.

With my tutoring, your child will not only improve academically but also gain confidence and a love for learning.

Maria is a really great tutor. She adapts the lessons to my specific needs each week, presenting the material in a manner that is really easy to comprehend. During exam season, she reviews my content in advance, structuring lessons that prioritize grammar and exam-related topics. And on lighter assignment weeks, she actually makes sure that I enjoy learning Spanish through games.
