About Umama

I am a 4th year Dentistry Student at the top Dental school in the world, King's College London and have also previously done an undergraduate in Chemical Engineering who has a passion for teaching Maths and Sciences (Physics, Biology and Chemistry). I love learning about the human body, specifically the head and neck and looking forward to help those who also want to go into the health care/Engineering field in the future. In my spare time I enjoy playing chess, badminton and netball. I enjoy teaching and challenging students as much as I can.

About the lesson

My sessions are very flexible, specifically towards what the student wants. We focus on challenging topics and mainly topics that students need more help in as that is the most important way to improve their grade. My sessions are full of diagrams, explanation using diagrams and exam questions to test their knowledge. The first session I will establish how you like to learn, what you hope to achieve and what your expectations are of me as your tutor and what I will be doing to ensure we are able to achieve that. For consolidation after each session, you should expect to receive exam questions/worksheet questions to test what you have learnt during the lesson. My lessons are very interactive and I always make sure it is as efficient as it possibly can be. If my student does not know any particular topic to focus on, then I will arrange and prepare several questions for them to go through so we can narrow down all the topics he/she is specifically struggling with as that is the ultimate way to improve their grade.
