About Louis
Hi, I'm Louis! I'm a Bachelor of Science graduate in Earth Science, with hands-on experience across geophysics, geology, environmental science, and chemistry through fieldwork and lab-based roles. I've always loved breaking down complex scientific concepts into ideas that actually make sense, whether that's explaining a tricky physics formula or talking someone through why a chemical reaction happens. I'm patient, approachable, and genuinely enjoy helping students build real confidence in science, not just memorize it for exams.

My approach is concept-first, not formula-first. I make sure students genuinely understand the underlying idea behind a topic before memorising equations, since this is what makes exam questions click instead of feeling like guesswork. Lessons typically run 60-90 minutes and include working through problems together before students attempt similar ones independently, so they build real confidence rather than relying on me. As a Science graduate with hands-on experience in geophysics, chemistry, and environmental science, I tutor high school chemistry and physics students, with a strong focus on translating exam-style questions into clear, manageable steps.
