About Rachel
I am a Science teacher with 7 years teaching experience in London. I know that Science can be a difficult subject for students to grasp, with many difficult concepts, However by providing students with sessions that have high support and high challenge, they can make measurable progress in the subject. My teaching approach involves a lot of chunking and breaking down tricky concepts which enables students to retain knowledge in their long term memory.

Providing one on one support to KS3/KS4/GCSE students by developing engaging and differentiated lessons that are tailored to each individual.
Prepare students for exams by providing many exam techniques and tips to enable students to answer questions successfully.
Lesson length is 60 minutes and broken into: Teacher input, a range of assessment for learning techniques and student application, mainly using exam paper questions.
Tutees will be provided with a task to complete before their next session which will give me an insight into any misconceptions or knowledge gaps that they may have.
