About Yusra

I am an Arabic student in my early 20s looking to inspire and teach others the language of the Quran. I am currently studying an Alimiyyah programme (Islamic Scholar Programme). After completing my first year of Intense Arabic study I realised that I want to spread my knowledge to as much peolpe as I could, no matter how little it may seem.

I am just here to provide a gateway for you to understand the words of the Quran and I am honoured to be part of that journey for you.

My services are NOT limited to those whose goals are to understand the Quran but also those who just want a basic foundation. Whatever your goal is, whether its an understanding of grammar, grasping new vocabulary or being able to read and write simple sentences, my teaching is flexible for each student.

I have previous tutoring experience and I am confident in articulating difficult concepts. I recognise that 1 year of Arabic study may not sound like alot however I am still a student and because of that I am able to understand you and teach you to a personalised level.

About the lesson

My lessons are taught through different mediums all with clear presentation and instructions.

First time students learn Nahw (arabic grammar) and Sarf (arabic verbs and conjugations). After studying the majority of the above said subjects, students will start Arabic of the Quran and Sunnah.

Nahw (arabic grammar) is taught with powerpoint slides and worksheets.
Sarf (arabic verbs) is taught through notes and verbal excercises).
Arabic of the Quran and Sunnah are both taught with their respective PDF texts both of which will be provided.

Lessons will either be 1 hour or 2 hours. 2 hour lessons will have a 5/10 minute break.

I have completed 1 year of Intensive Arabic study at an Intermediate level and I will study Arabic for the next 5 years to an advance level.

My lessons are for those who want a beginner foundation in understanding Arabic, suitable for 15+. I am a perfect teacher for those who also want to be able to understand the language of the Quran and Sunnah. I do not teach Tafsir as I focus on just translation and understanding.

I am able to cater my lessons to students' needs, so feel free to message me about your concerns and goals so I can cater my teaching to your ambitions.
