About Abby
Hi, my name is Abby and I am a second year medical student at Cardiff University. I believe I would make a valuable addition to your tutoring team here as I believe I possess many desirable qualities for the job including a strong academic standing, patience, resilience and compassion. I have a fair amount of experience in tutoring, having helped my youngest sister with her academic work across most subjects for many years. I am a keen sportsperson, swimming competitively from a young age has taught me resilience, a trait which is undoubtably of utmost importance in the tutoring business, I am also a keen reader and enjoy art. At GCSEs I achieved straight A*s and an A in further maths. I would be happy to help with most subject areas but would be particularly interested in helping with science subjects but am flexible. Hi, I’m Abby and I’m currently studying medicine at Cardiff. I have helped my younger sister with her studies for many years as she particularly struggles with conventional methods of learning. It proved especially successful to visually represent ideas on whiteboards and through alternative analogies - which translates very effectively to tutoring in the virtual world. I often find it easy to adapt my method of thinking to understand how an individual learns and to work together to find the best approach forwards to get the best out of the tutoring time.
