About Divya

I am a second year medical student with interests in medical education and research. I have a long history of excellent academic performance, however it has always been with the help of tutors and small group instructors. Now, I look to continue the work as a helper to grow younger minds and inspire curiosity in medical sciences. In addition, I hope to offer a wide variety of organizational techniques, learning strategies, and resources that have helped me develop into the student I am today.

About the lesson

I have over 4+ years of tutoring pre-medical students and working as a supplemental instructor. I believe in a tailored learning style that complements each student and meets them where they are starting. I have experience in teaching small groups and working 1:1 with students, and am happy to review medical school application essays or discuss MCAT plans. I successfully studied and earned a competitive score (515) in 2021 prior to graduating Summa cum laude from Saint Louis University with a BS in Investigative Medical Sciences. I have specific experiences in teaching human physiology, biology, hematology, pharmacology, and anatomy. A session with me would look like: a 10 minute intro and goal-setting session, 45 minutes of work on our shared goals, and 5 minutes to conclude and decide what you will continue after the session.

Details

I charge $25/ hour for online sessions and $35/ hour for in-person sessions. I will meet at a public library or Saint Louis University location. However, since I am a clinical student, I will have less in-person availability and more online availability. I am also happy to do essay review for $35 per essay, which includes a 30 minute online session to discuss improvement post-essay reviews.
