Hello, my name is William, you can call me Dylan, I go by my middle name. I will be your guide to mastering both math and stats with confidence. Whether you are tackling fractions in middle school or diving into data analysis in high school, I am here to make things clearer, not more complicated. I specialize in breaking down tough concepts into simple, manageable steps, and I believe that with the right approach, anyone can succeed in math and statistics. My Approach:
My tutoring approach is based on engagement and adaptability. I focus on simplifying complex concepts using real-life examples as well as step-by-step breakdowns to help students build a deep understanding of the topics covered.
Lesson plan (For a 1-hour lesson):
5 minutes - Warm-up and review of previous content
10 minutes - Introduction of the day's topic and using relatable examples
20 minutes -Guided practice with me walking the student through problems
20 minutes - Independent practice with feedback
5 minutes - Recap and prepare for next steps
What makes me different?
I utilize my experience in customer service and as a camp counsellor to combine both patience and communication skills to understand how students learn and how I could cater to them. I am not only focused on students getting the right answer, but I am also focused on making sure they understand how the answer is correct.
Who are the lessons for?
I tutor middle and high school students in math and statistics, from Grade 6 to Grade 12. Whether the student is struggling with foundational skills or aiming for top grades, I tailor my lessons to their level and goals.
