About Jane

Hello, I'm Jane! I'm a fully qualified teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience and a real passion for helping children and young people achieve their full potential in maths. I currently teach GCSE and Functional Skills Maths, but I also have extensive experience teaching Key Stages 1, 2 and 3, giving me a strong understanding of how mathematical skills develop from an early age through to exam level.

As a mum to two young sons, I understand that every child learns differently and that building confidence is just as important as building knowledge. I became a tutor because I enjoy helping students overcome challenges, celebrate their progress, and discover that maths doesn't have to be something to fear.

Whether you're looking to boost confidence, catch up, or achieve top grades, I'm committed to providing patient, supportive, and personalised lessons that help every student succeed.

About the lesson

FIRST LESSON FREE
I believe every child can succeed in maths with the right support, encouragement, and approach. I offer friendly, patient, and engaging one-to-one lessons for students aged 4 through to GCSE and Functional Skills level, tailoring every session to each learner's individual needs, pace, and learning style.

Whether your child is building confidence with early number skills, preparing for important exams, or needs extra support to overcome challenges, I create a positive and supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

My lessons focus on developing a strong understanding of mathematical concepts rather than simply memorising methods, helping students grow in both confidence and ability. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to help every student develop a lasting belief in their own potential.
