About Erica

I am a self-taught artist with over a decade of dedicated drawing experience and more than 5 years of focused work in realistic acrylic and oil painting. My work emphasizes strong technical control, with a focus on accuracy, structure, and expressive realism, particularly in portraiture.

My teaching approach is built on the same foundation of discipline and clarity, combining structured skill development with adaptable, student-centered instruction. I work with students to build both confidence and competence, guiding them from foundational drawing skills through to advanced painting techniques with an emphasis on consistent, measurable improvement.

My work is informed by a strong interest in human expression, especially in portraiture, where I focus on capturing subtle detail and emotional realism. This combination of technical skill and observational sensitivity shapes both my artwork and my instruction, offering a grounded and professional learning experience focused on real artistic growth.
