I dont just focus on theory, rather i explore the student’s choice of music and make them practise their favourite piece in a simpler manner so that they stay motivated to play guitar. The basic exercises can be boring and demotivating for a beginner, therefore its really important to maintain the interest of the student in the instrument because the level of difficulty faced by a beginner is high. My aim is to make the student learn and enjoy the process of learning as-well. My class will first evaluate the musical interests of the student himself which will then determine the direction we go towards to learn guitar.
I will brief the student on the basics of the guitar instrument which includes the different parts of guitar and how he/she can maintain their guitar properly like changing the strings and cleaning the guitar, fingerstyle method hand positioning, plectrum holding ways, simple strumming patterns, sense of beats etc.
Basics will also include ear training, where i will teach the student how to tune the guitar and also how they can translate a music piece that they have heard onto their guitar.
My main objective is to keep the student interested in the instrument and not make it monotonous or demotivating for him/her.
Any person above the age of 8 can take this course.
