About Dandy
I'm an 18-year-old sixth form student who's been playing since I was in year 6. I developed my own style of playing by listening to anything that had a guitar in it, staying in my school's music room after school to get as much practice time as I could. My approach to teaching is to equip the students with the basics and help them apply it to even the most complicated of songs.

I come from a largely self-taught background, and that shapes the way I teach: I adapt my approach to whatever learning style the student is most comfortable with. My lessons balance clear explanations with immediate application, so students are always using what they’ve just learnt—whether that’s chords, riffs, technique, or simple improvisation. A typical lesson lasts between thirty minutes to an hour, which I’ve found is the sweet spot for younger learners to stay focused and make steady progress. My teaching is aimed at beginners and early-intermediate players, usually between the ages of 8 and 15. In terms of experience, I currently act as a stand-in guitar mentor at my school, working with younger students. This includes teaching them basic chords, riffs, rhythm skills, and occasionally jamming with them to build confidence and musicality.
