As a UBC pharmacy student who completed a BSc at 19 through self-directed learning, I understand the challenges students face. As someone who also used to struggle in the science courses, I focus on building independence and confidence so students can thrive in their academic pursuits. I tutor high school and early university-level biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, and introductory pharmacy. I am currently a pharmacy student at the University of British Columbia with a strong academic foundation and hands-on healthcare experience. I self-taught myself math, chemistry, biology, and organic chemistry, and I completed my Bachelor of Science at 19 years old. Because of this journey, I understand firsthand what students struggle with in each subject—whether it is building confidence, mastering the basics, or developing effective study habits. I am well-versed in many study methods and work closely with each student to find the approach that suits them best, whether it is visual learning, active recall, or problem-based learning. What sets me apart is my ability to break down complex concepts, my real-world pharmacy experience, and my genuine passion for helping students succeed. I focus not only on academic improvement but also on building independent learning skills that last beyond the classroom. Whether you are aiming to improve your grades, prepare for an exam, or get ahead, I am here to support you every step of the way.
