About MJ
From “Sparking” to “Shining”: The Evolution of Craft.
I am a Senior Art Director with a decade of experience navigating the complexities of the creative industry. Over the past ten years, my practice has spanned the full stack of visual disciplines—from foundational graphic design and brand identity to UI/UX, web design, motion, and 3D art.
Early in my career, my focus was entirely on the "spark"—the raw, creative execution. However, creating beautiful work is only half the equation. True leverage occurs where design intersects with business strategy. By mastering business and branding frameworks, I shifted my focus to what I call "shining"—positioning creative work systematically to solve real-world commercial problems. That transition redefined my career trajectory.
Now, I act as a Design Mentor and Career Architect to help upcoming creatives make that exact leap. You do not need to spend years navigating the industry through misdirected effort or misallocated investment. You simply need clarity, a definitive map, and a strategic mindset.
