Hyderabad and now as a Senior Business Analyst at BT Group in the UK, where I use data every day to help the business understand what's happening and make better decisions.

SQL has been central to that work throughout my career. I use it to query large datasets, investigate revenue and process issues, and build the analysis that feeds directly into reports for senior stakeholders — so my skills come from genuine, sustained professional use, not just study.

I started tutoring because I saw a real gap between how SQL is often taught — abstract syntax with little real-world context — and how it's actually used to solve problems at work. Having relied on SQL professionally for over a decade, I can teach it the way it's genuinely applied, at a pace that matches where you're starting from.

About the lesson

My approach

I teach SQL the way I use it every day — as a practical tool for pulling out real answers from real data, not just a set of syntax rules to memorise. In my work as a Senior Business Analyst at BT Group, and before that at TCS, I use SQL constantly to investigate business problems: finding root causes, tracking down revenue leakage, and building the queries that feed into the reports senior stakeholders rely on. That's the same approach I bring to teaching.

Lessons are hands-on from the start. Rather than working through abstract syntax in isolation, I build lessons around real, practical queries — filtering, joins, grouping, aggregations, subqueries — using example datasets that mirror the kind of problems you'd actually face, whether that's for study, an interview, or a job. I first find out what you need SQL for and tailor the pace and content to that, rather than teaching a fixed generic course.

Lesson length

Sessions typically run 1–1.5 hours — enough time to properly work through one concept with practice, without overloading you. I'm flexible and happy to adjust to what works best for you.

My experience

I'm not a career trainer — I'm a working data professional who relies on SQL daily to analyse business performance and support decision-making in a corporate environment. That means I teach current, workplace-relevant SQL, grounded in how it's actually used, rather than purely academic theory.
