About Vivek

I’m Vivek Ambastha, a Senior Credit Risk Manager based in Bengaluru with extensive real-world experience in credit risk management, PD/LGD modeling, model monitoring (GINI, KS, PSI), stress testing, overrides, ECL, and regulatory reporting.

Why I Teach

After years of successfully applying these skills in my professional role and building practical analytics solutions (including custom Python/Streamlit dashboards), I’m genuinely passionate about mentoring students and young professionals. I want to bridge the common gap between academic theory and industry practice so that you can learn faster, avoid common mistakes, and confidently move ahead in your finance career.

What Makes My Teaching Unique & Effective
• Hands-on & Industry-Driven: You’ll work directly with real-world models, Excel prototypes, and Python scripts that I use daily at work — not just textbook examples.

• Practical Tools & Career Focus: Master interactive dashboards, data visualization (Plotly), model validation techniques, breach detection, and stress testing scenarios while gaining insider tips for interviews and job performance.

• Personalized & Result-Oriented: Sessions are tailored to your level and goals — whether you’re preparing for FRM Level 1, ICRM, university exams, or transitioning into risk analytics roles.

• Clear & Supportive Style: I break down complex topics into simple, actionable steps and provide ongoing guidance even outside class.

My goal is simple: help you build strong technical skills and the professional confidence needed to excel in credit risk and financial modeling.

If you’re serious about learning practically and advancing your career, I’d love to connect and create a customized learning plan for you. Feel free to message me with your goals — I usually respond quickly!

Looking forward to helping you succeed.”

About the lesson

What makes my teaching different and unique:
• Industry-First Approach: I don’t just teach theory from books. You’ll work on real-world credit risk models, Excel prototypes, and Python dashboards that I actually use in my job at a leading financial institution.

• Practical + Career Focused: Every session combines concepts with live coding, custom dummy datasets, breach detection logic, and career insights — exactly what banks and analysts look for in interviews and day-to-day work.

• Interactive Tools: Learn through custom Streamlit apps, Plotly visualizations, and automated monitoring scripts that make complex topics (like ECL, geopolitical stress testing, and model validation) intuitive and memorable.

• Personalized & Result-Oriented: Whether you’re preparing for FRM, ICRM, university exams, or switching to a risk analytics role, I tailor sessions to your goals and current level — with clear, step-by-step guidance and ongoing support.

My students don’t just pass exams — they build confidence and practical skills that help them stand out in their careers.
Ready to learn credit risk, financial modeling, and Python the way professionals actually do it?

Let’s connect and create a learning plan that works for you.
