I am a Senior Product and UX Designer with over 10 years of professional experience designing and improving complex digital systems across technology, education, and regulated industries. My approach to tutoring and how I teach
My approach to tutoring is centred on clarity, structured thinking, and practical application. I help learners understand not just what to do, but why, so they can apply concepts confidently in new situations rather than memorising steps.
I use a structured, step-by-step teaching methodology that reduces cognitive load and builds understanding progressively. Lessons typically combine explanation, real-world examples from industry, guided practice, and reflection. I adapt each session to the learner’s goals, pace, and prior knowledge, whether that is academic study, portfolio development, or professional growth.
A typical lesson runs for 60 minutes. Sessions are focused and calm, with clear objectives agreed at the start and practical takeaways by the end. For longer-term learners, I help create a simple learning plan so progress is steady and measurable.
