If you're trying to get future students to trust you and actually enroll / listen to you, it's not about hard selling. It's about making them see their future in you.
Here's what works best here in the Philippines:
*1. Sell the transformation, not the subject*
Don't say "I will teach you Math." Say "I will help you pass the board / get that seaman's license / not be afraid of Math anymore."
Students buy the _after_.
*2. Show proof, not promises*
- Show 1-2 photos/results of past students (like your Navy officer edit - that aspirational image matters)
- Tell a short story: "My student from [nearby town] was struggling, now he's in..."
- If you're new, show your own journey. People in Ilocos value hard work and humility.
*3. Speak like a kuya/ate, not a professor*
- Ask first: "Ano ba talaga gusto mo maging after?" Then listen.
- Use their language. "Gets kita, mahirap talaga yan sa una."
- 70% listening, 30% talking.
*4. Make the first step super easy and low-risk*
Don't say "Enroll for 3 months." Say:
