About Anja

Hi, I’m Anja! I’m a musician, performer, songwriter and music producer with years of hands-on experience in music, recording and live performance.

I play guitar and piano/keys and have experience performing professionally, writing and producing music, recording, arranging, and working with professional music production software and tools. Music has been a major part of my life for many years, both creatively and professionally.

I have also built an online audience around my music, growing my social platforms to more than 140,000 combined followers, with music content reaching millions of views organically. This has given me experience not only as a musician, but also in performing for and connecting with a wide range of audiences.

As a tutor, I am patient, friendly and encouraging. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I enjoy finding ways to explain things that make sense to each individual student.

Whether you are completely new to guitar or already have some experience, my goal is to help you develop real skills, build confidence and, most importantly, enjoy making music.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching guitar is patient, practical, and tailored to each student. I want lessons to be something students look forward to, so I focus on creating a relaxed and encouraging environment where they can learn at their own pace and build confidence while developing strong technique.

Lessons are adapted to the student’s experience, musical interests, and goals. I teach essential skills including chords, chord changes, rhythm, different strumming patterns and techniques, picking, timing, and learning to play complete songs. Rather than following exactly the same lesson structure for everyone, I adjust my teaching based on how each student learns best and the type of music they would ultimately like to play.

A typical lesson includes reviewing what we worked on previously, introducing a new skill or technique, practicing it together, and then applying it musically - often through a song or piece of music. I believe students learn best when they understand the technique but can also hear and enjoy what they are achieving with it.

What sets me apart is my experience beyond simply playing an instrument. I am a performing musician, songwriter and music producer, and I have experience performing alongside established artists and working with music both on stage and in production. I play guitar and piano/keys and have experience with recording, arranging and producing music, which allows me to help students understand music from a broader perspective when appropriate.

I am especially patient and welcoming with beginners and younger students. Lessons are suitable for complete beginners through intermediate players, including children, teenagers and adults. Whether someone wants to learn their first chords, improve their strumming and picking, play their favorite songs, or simply become a more confident guitarist, I aim to make the process enjoyable, encouraging and rewarding.
