About Ogundeji
• Be on time, prepared, and organized: If you say class starts at 4pm, start at 4pm. Have your materials ready.
• Keep boundaries clear: You’re friendly, not their peer. Respectful language, fair treatment, no favoritism.
• Follow through: If you promise to mark scripts by Friday or send notes, do it. Broken promises kill trust fast.
Message you can say:
“Everything we do here has a purpose. I respect your time, so I’ll come prepared and I expect the same from you. That’s how we get results.”
2. Inspire confidence by making them feel capable
Confidence comes from small wins and being seen.
• Explain the ‘why’: Show how the topic connects to exams, jobs, or real life in Nigeria. People engage when it matters.
• Celebrate effort, not just grades: “I saw you got this method wrong, but your approach was smart. Let’s fix it.”
• Create a no-shame space: Let them ask ‘stupid’ questions without being laughed at. Most students shut down because they fear embarrassment.
• Give specific feedback: “Your introduction is strong, but add data here” beats “Good job.”
