About Willa
I hold a Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance and a Master’s in Music Education, with 6 years of experience teaching students from beginners to advanced singers. My teaching philosophy blends technical precision with creative exploration, allowing students to develop strong vocal skills while nurturing musical expression and confidence.
In my lessons, I emphasize breath control, tone quality, vocal exercises, phrasing, performance techniques, and interpretation. I provide structured guidance, personalized feedback, and encouragement to help learners progress steadily while enjoying their musical journey. I also focus on building stage confidence, expression, and the ability to connect with audiences emotionally.
Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with repertoire study, vocal pedagogy research, and performance practice. This enriches my lessons and allows me to bring fresh perspectives into the classroom. Witnessing students gain technical ability, artistic insight, and confidence in their voices is profoundly rewarding. Singing lessons flourish when students balance technical skill development with expressive artistry. I focus on breath control, vocal placement, pitch accuracy, phrasing, tone quality, dynamics, and stylistic interpretation. Lessons are designed to help learners strengthen their voices while exploring musicality and personal expression, creating a safe and motivating environment to practice freely.
Beginners develop breath support, pitch awareness, vowel shaping, and simple repertoire to build a strong foundation. Intermediate learners refine vocal technique, expand range, work on expression, phrasing, and performance preparation. Advanced learners focus on complex repertoire, stylistic interpretation, audition readiness, and personal artistic expression. Lessons integrate exercises, demonstrations, guided practice, and performance feedback to ensure steady progress.
Singing lessons also enhance confidence, emotional expression, and musical interpretation. Students gain the ability to convey emotion, communicate through their voice, and perform with poise. My goal is to create supportive lessons where learners feel encouraged to explore, experiment, and grow as expressive, capable, and confident vocalists.
