About Karen
Genre styling is rarely about perfecting a single technique. You should ignore the idea that voice training must be rigid or overly clinical. As a BM Music Performance graduate, I blend pop and musical theater with the raw honesty of the protest canon.
I work with kids, teens, and advanced learners who want to bridge the gap between head and chest voice. My teaching is rooted in oral tradition. We learn by listening to the masters of the craft. Diction and articulation provide the foundation for clear communication.
I have 13 years of experience helping students gain confidence. Pitch control is just another form of listening. Keep singing like you mean it.

Great singing begins with the breath you take before a single note is produced. You will find that my lessons prioritize how your body supports the melody rather than just forcing the sound out.
I provide free access to my breathing and warm-up exercise notes to keep you grounded between our times together. With 13 years of experience, I guide intermediate learners through microphone technique and exam preparation. We keep the spirit of Guthrie and Seeger alive in every vocal exercise we tackle. Stay true to your song.
