About Briar
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music with a focus on vocal performance and have taught voice for over five years. My experience includes live performance, recording sessions, and teaching students of varying ages and experience levels—from beginners to advanced singers preparing for auditions and showcases. My teaching is shaped by a belief in both technical discipline and emotional connection. I create a warm, focused environment where students feel supported and encouraged to explore their voice. Whether you’re starting from scratch or refining your artistry, I adapt the pace and material to your needs and goals. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve helped students improve tone, expand range, and perform with more expression and ease. I view each voice as unique and worth developing with care. My mission is to help you sing with authenticity and confidence, discovering what your voice can truly do.

Each singing lesson begins with exercises to support vocal health and build proper technique, including breath management, posture, and tone control. I work to help you understand how your voice functions, developing strength and agility through customized warm-ups and targeted vocal drills designed for your range and ability.
As we move forward, lessons expand to include stylistic expression, pitch accuracy, and song interpretation. We explore genres that suit your voice and interest—whether it’s pop, classical, R&B, or musical theatre—while reinforcing musical fundamentals like phrasing, rhythm, and dynamic control to shape a well-rounded performer.
Each session is geared toward steady progress, building confidence and vocal independence. You’ll receive practical tools to improve outside of lessons, including recordings, practice strategies, and personalized feedback. Whether you sing casually, professionally, or competitively, every lesson is structured to help you sing with freedom, confidence, and clarity.
