About Melanie
I’m a dedicated singing instructor with 6 years of teaching experience and an Advanced Diploma in Singing. I take a structured yet creative approach, blending multiple vocal styles with music theory, ear development, and improvisation. My goal is to help students build a solid technical foundation while expressing their unique musical voice.
I work with students at all skill levels, from beginners discovering their voice to advanced singers refining performance and improvisation skills. Each lesson is tailored to individual needs, focusing on technique, rhythm, pitch accuracy, and musicality. I also emphasize building confidence for live performance and recording situations.
Through exercises in sight-singing, ear training, and vocal flexibility, students develop strong control and expressive range. I encourage creativity, exploration, and consistent practice while providing clear guidance and constructive feedback. My lessons are engaging, motivating, and designed to make learning fun and rewarding.

My singing lessons focus on developing strong music literacy and sight-singing skills for both orchestra-focused and crossover-style singers. We start with notation reading, helping students confidently interpret sheet music and understand musical symbols. Interval training strengthens the ear, making pitch recognition natural and precise.
Rhythm exercises and harmony building help students internalize timing and blend beautifully in group or solo settings. I guide each persona through steady, structured practice, connecting the ear, mind, and voice for accurate and expressive singing. The Orchestra Member gains clarity in classical passages, sight-reading scores, and performing with ensembles. The Crossover Artist develops flexibility, improvisation skills, and the ability to merge styles seamlessly.
We use sight-singing apps, rhythm trainers, and notation tools to reinforce learning outside lessons, making practice interactive and engaging. Short daily exercises build confidence, while longer, goal-oriented projects develop performance readiness. I encourage exploration, creativity, and consistency, helping students see measurable progress week by week.
By combining technical skill with musical expression, students grow into versatile singers who read, interpret, and perform with ease. Every lesson is supportive, motivating, and tailored to individual goals, making learning both effective and enjoyable.
