Hello and welcome! I am a dedicated educator and high-achieving student from the Sisters of Mary of Banneux, Inc., recognized with awards for Best in Effective Communication and Best in Life Skills. My background as a TVL student teacher, school broadcaster, journalist, and debate competitor has equipped me with a strong command of English grammar, public speaking, and critical thinking. I believe that learning English should be interactive, practical, and empowering. Because I am currently learning German myself, I understand the challenges of mastering a new language and bring patience, empathy, and proven learning strategies to every session. If you were to step into my classroom, you would not merely be learning English from a textbook; you would be embarking on a transformative journey guided by real-world communication, a culture of academic excellence, and a deep appreciation for language acquisition. My background—rooted in the rigorous academic tradition of the Sisters of Mary of Banneux, Inc., a top institution in the Philippines founded by an American priest—provides me with a unique foundation to serve as your English student teacher. Coupled with my experiences as a broadcaster, journalist, speech choir competitor, and German language learner, I offer a rich, multifaceted perspective that brings the English language to life. Students should learn English from me because I bridge the gap between theoretical grammar and practical, real-world application. As a journalist and broadcaster, I understand how language functions outside the classroom—how to craft clear, objective prose, articulate ideas under pressure, and captivate an audience. My participation in speech choir competitions has further honed my command over tone, vocal projection, enunciation, and the artistic delivery of spoken English. Rather than viewing English as a rigid academic requirement, my students will experience it as a dynamic tool for influence, expression, and storytelling. Furthermore, as a current learner of German, I understand firsthand the vulnerabilities and cognitive hurdles of mastering a new language. This gives me profound empathy for my students, allowing me to teach them effective language acquisition strategies that make learning intuitive, relatable, and empowering.Beyond standard curriculum standards, my students will absorb essential life lessons that prepare them for local and global success. First, through journalistic writing and broadcasting exercises, they will master the art of critical thinking and precise expression—learning not just what to say, but how to research, structure, and convey their thoughts with integrity and clarity. Second, through speech performance, they will build unwavering public speaking confidence, overcoming stage fright to express themselves boldly and persuasively. Third, they will acquire practical language-learning techniques that demystify grammar and vocabulary, enabling them to become self-directed, lifelong learners capable of tackling any new language or skill.Additionally, my education at the Sisters of Mary of Banneux, Inc. infuses my teaching with values that transcend academic performance. From a school heritage influenced by an American founder and renowned for academic rigor, I instill in my students a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence, and a spirit of humility and service.
