About Nola
I hold a Master’s Degree in Chemistry and have spent nine years guiding students through the intricate and fascinating world of chemical science. My passion began with a deep curiosity about how substances interact, change, and transform, and teaching has allowed me to share that wonder with others. Witnessing students move from confusion to clarity, from hesitation to confidence, has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. My teaching philosophy is grounded in patience, clarity, and connection. I adjust my approach based on the individual learning style of each student, ensuring that concepts are broken down in a way that feels accessible rather than intimidating. I encourage analytical discussion, questioning, and exploration, guiding learners to think like scientists rather than passive recipients of information. Emotional support is as important as academic guidance in my classroom, and I strive to build confidence alongside knowledge. Outside of direct instruction, I stay actively involved in scientific research updates, laboratory advancements, and educational innovation in the chemical sciences. I continuously refine my methods to ensure that students receive modern, accurate, and inspiring instruction. Students begin with atomic structure, periodic trends, chemical bonding, and basic reaction types to establish a strong foundation. As they advance, they explore thermodynamics, equilibrium, acids and bases, reaction kinetics, and organic chemistry principles. Advanced learners analyse complex molecular interactions, study synthesis pathways, and apply analytical techniques to problem-solving scenarios. Experiments, simulations, and real-world case studies are integrated into lessons to reinforce theoretical knowledge and develop practical scientific thinking.
