About Jivika
Hi! I’m an English tutor with over 7 years of experience and a Master of Arts in TESOL. I specialise in helping students prepare for IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE exams. My lessons focus on test strategies, effective time management, and mastering writing task structures. I also work closely on building speaking confidence, so students feel ready for any part of the exam. I use mock exams regularly to create a real test experience and provide detailed feedback. This helps students understand their strengths and areas to improve. Each session is goal-based, tailored to the student’s needs and target scores. I’ve worked with many students planning to study or work abroad, guiding them step-by-step towards success. My approach is practical and supportive, with clear plans to build skills and confidence. My English teaching approach is fun, friendly, and focused on making learning easy and enjoyable. I use games to practise grammar so that rules become clear without feeling like hard work. Storytelling is a big part of my lessons—it helps students connect with the language and remember new words naturally. I also use colourful visual aids and pictures to make ideas easier to understand and keep lessons interesting. Repetition plays an important role, so we review key points often in different ways to help learning stick. I enjoy supporting students who are starting fresh with English or learning for fun and personal growth. Together, we work on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in practical, everyday ways. I create a relaxed space where mistakes are welcome and confidence grows. Each lesson is built around what the learner needs most, with plenty of encouragement along the way. My goal is to help students feel excited about English and ready to use it in real life. Learning can be fun, and with the right tools, anyone can improve step by step.
