About Lane
I am an enthusiastic Guitar tutor with 12 years of teaching and professional experience, dedicated to helping students develop both technical skill and self-confidence. I teach school and college learners and guide them step by step from basic chords and rhythm exercises to performing complete songs with expression and confidence.
Seeing my students perform independently and gain recognition at school and college events has been one of the most meaningful milestones in my teaching journey.
I focus on fundamentals such as chord transitions, finger exercises, strumming patterns, rhythm control, and scale practice while also encouraging creativity and personal style.
My teaching style is structured, patient, and supportive, ensuring that each student makes steady progress. I also emphasise regular practice, goal setting, and stage preparation. My goal is to inspire students to become confident, disciplined, and passionate guitarists for life.

My Guitar teaching methodology is centred on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to help students develop strong technical skills and artistic confidence. I begin by assessing each student’s level and understanding their musical goals so I can design structured and personalised lessons.
Motivation is maintained by setting realistic short-term goals and appreciating every achievement to keep students encouraged.
Communication is always clear and supportive, ensuring students fully understand chord techniques, rhythm patterns, scale exercises, and finger coordination. Integrity is reflected in my strong emphasis on correct posture, clean sound production, accurate timing, and disciplined daily practice habits. I provide honest feedback and guide students patiently through challenges.
Creativity is encouraged through improvisation practice, songwriting exercises, and exploring different musical styles. Along with Guitar, I also teach music theory and ear training for complete musical growth.
