Hello! I'm Flora, your enthusiastic Chinese teacher! Certified tutor with over 4 years of experience and more than 2,000 lessons under my belt. Always Customized Lessons according to your needs. Hold a degree in English and certification of qualified Mandarin. Shanghai Intermediate Interpretation Certificate. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching Chinese to over 100 students from all around the world. Speak more.” My Mandarin lessons are based on practical application, allowing students to improve their listening and speaking skills through conversations with me. In addition to explaining Chinese grammar and vocabulary, I enjoy incorporating fun and interactive games and exercises to enhance speaking and listening skills. As a dedicated Mandarin tutor, I strive to ensure that students grasp every important Chinese character and phrase. I believe in using a wide range of teaching methods as I understand that every student has different learning habits and styles. Furthermore, in order to reinforce students' understanding of the language, I assign practice exercises and homework that will deepen their knowledge. I can't recommend 淑芳 (Flora) highly enough! I have been studying with her twice a week for seven months now and I love our lessons. She is a very patient and encouraging teacher and makes you feel really comfortable and motivated to learn. Flora has a good level of English so she is able to explain grammar points and vocabulary usage in a clear way. The lessons consist of a range of language skills including speaking, reading, listening and grammar and I have really seen my progress grow since studying with her. She has a great bank of resources from great in-class PowerPoints to stories, TV recommendations and flashcard sets etc. for out-of-class study. She sets a range of different homework tasks that help you creatively use newly learnt structures and always gives feedback on your homework so you can continue to improve. Flora is always happy to go off topic and talk to you about Chinese culture and other areas of interest, giving you the opportunity to learn vocabulary and structures related to your passions on top of the textbook content. If you are about to start Chinese lessons, Flora is a fantastic teacher and I would 100% recommend doing lessons with her!
