About Uma

I am a dedicated and passionate piano tutor with three years of teaching experience, specializing in both classical and jazz music. My journey with the piano began at a young age, and I have cultivated my skills through years of rigorous practice and performance. My love for music has driven me to share my knowledge with others, helping them discover the joy and fulfillment that comes with mastering this beautiful instrument.

Throughout my teaching career, I have had the privilege of working with students of all ages and skill levels. This diverse experience has taught me the importance of adapting my teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student. Whether you are a young child just beginning to explore the piano or an adult looking to refine your technique, I am committed to providing personalized instruction that caters to your individual goals and learning style.

My approach to teaching is grounded in creating a supportive and encouraging environment. I understand that learning an instrument can be challenging, so I strive to make each lesson engaging and enjoyable. By incorporating a mix of technical exercises, music theory, and repertoire that interests you, I aim to keep you motivated and excited about your musical journey. My goal is not just to teach you how to play the piano, but to help you develop a deep connection with the music and the confidence to express yourself through it.

Continuous learning and professional development are essential to my teaching philosophy. I regularly attend workshops and seek out new teaching strategies to ensure that I am providing the best possible instruction to my students. I am passionate about helping you reach your full potential as a pianist and look forward to supporting you every step of the way on your musical path. Together, we will explore the rich world of piano music, from classical masterpieces to jazz improvisations, and unlock your musical creativity.
