About Winnie
Studying at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine has shaped my rigorous approach to complex chemical systems. As a 4th-year student, I specialize in teaching mechanisms including elimination reactions, isomerism, alcohols, ethers, and amines. My work involves stereochemistry, retrosynthesis, IUPAC nomenclature, and spectral analysis for chemistry majors.
2 years of teaching have taught me that 10 percent of exam concepts are consistently the most challenging for pre-meds to grasp. I enjoy connecting these concepts to the broader biological context while maintaining clarity.

Simplifying complicated organic pathways is often easier than students expect because we focus only on high yield mechanisms. My approach identifies exactly what the AAMC tests hardest so we do not waste time on extraneous theories.
I structure our 8 hour cumulative deep dives to ensure you build fluency in the language of carbon bonds. We break down the hardest reactions together, providing the logic you need to solve any structure.
My degree background allows me to simplify these pathways as I have taught them for 2 years. We work through the nuance of these chemical systems without feeling rushed. It is simply about getting comfortable with the underlying logic.
