About Poonam
I am Poonam, an M.Com-qualified educator with 15 years of freelance teaching experience. I am passionate about helping students understand their subjects clearly, develop effective study habits and approach examinations with confidence.
I believe that learning Social Sciences should involve more than memorizing textbook information. Students learn better when they understand the reasons behind historical events, the relationship between people and their environment, the functioning of government and the fundamentals of economics.
My teaching approach combines simple explanations, relatable examples, structured revision and personalized attention according to each student's learning pace and academic requirements.
I offer one-to-one Social Sciences classes covering History, Geography, Civics and Economics, helping students strengthen their understanding and improve their written answers.
My aim is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas and developing their academic potential. Classes are available online or at my tuition center.

Turn Social Sciences into a subject your child understands, enjoys and feels confident studying!
I offer personalised one-to-one Social Sciences classes for school students, focusing on conceptual clarity, effective learning techniques and strong examination preparation.
My lessons cover History, Geography, Civics and Economics, with explanations adapted to the student's grade, school syllabus and individual learning needs.
My teaching methodology goes beyond memorising dates, definitions and textbook paragraphs. I simplify complex topics, connect concepts with real-life examples, use structured notes and timelines wherever helpful, and teach students how to frame clear, well-organised answers.
Special attention is given to understanding key concepts, remembering important information, improving answer-writing skills and developing the ability to explain topics in one's own words.
Whether your child needs help understanding difficult chapters, completing school assignments, revising the syllabus or preparing for examinations, I provide patient guidance and individual attention.
Classes are available online or at my tuition centre, with bilingual explanations wherever helpful.
My goal is to make Social Sciences engaging, manageable and rewarding while helping students build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
