About Jessica

Hello! I'm Jess, a qualified Social Sciences teacher and tutor with over 15 years of experience helping students achieve their full potential. I specialise in Psychology, Criminology, and Health & Social Care at GCSE, A-Level and BTEC.

As a qualified teacher (PGCE in Social Sciences) and an experienced examiner, I have an in-depth understanding of what exam boards are looking for. I don't just teach the content, I help students develop the exam techniques, confidence and study skills needed to achieve the highest grades possible.

Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit individual needs, whether you're aiming for a top grade, catching up on missed learning, building confidence, or preparing for important exams. I create a calm, supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.

I also have extensive experience supporting students with SEND, adapting lessons to ensure learning is accessible, engaging and effective for every learner.

My goal is simple: to help students understand their subjects, feel confident in their abilities, and leave every lesson knowing they are one step closer to achieving their goals.

About the lesson

I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor every lesson to suit their individual needs, learning style and goals. Whether you're aiming for a top grade, need help catching up, or simply want to build your confidence, I provide patient, supportive and structured tutoring to help you succeed.
As an Exam Board Examiner, I have an in-depth understanding of what examiners are looking for. I teach not only the course content but also the exam techniques and revision strategies that can make the difference between a good grade and an excellent one. I provide regular feedback and progress updates. I am also able to support with coursework and controlled assessment planning.

I also have extensive experience supporting students with SEND as I have worked in a school for students with SEND and SEMH needs, creating a calm, encouraging environment where every learner can reach their potential.

I also include support and guidance for study skills, organisation and time management coaching as this is often a skill that students need support with.

My aim is to help students become confident, independent learners who achieve the very best they are capable of.
