About Isabel
Grade 5 classically trained singer and musical theatre performer with years of experience on stage performing songs and improvised theatre.
Stage fright and post-performance blues were a big part of my singing journey ever since I was 11 years old. I used to hold so much tension in my jaw, shoulders and neck whilst singing after years of training and high amounts of pressure from teachers to get the notes 'right', which eventually created the 'right' sound but led to a loss of passion in both singing and music.
In the last twenty years, I discovered embodiment technqiues and improvised singing tools, to help me understand the body as an instrument, and a conduit for sound, in a whole new way. Re-connecting with sound and voice has been such a rewarding and healing journey, to remember that singing gets to be a pleasurable experience not just for the audience but for the singer too! And learning how to use the voice in an embodied way can act as a supportive aid for cathartic release and connection to the self.

Vocal coaching sessions designed to support you on your journey to reconnecting with your voice and your body as an instrument. Using mindfulness and somatic technqiues, we will bring you back to your physical body and help you feel into the sensations of singing. Going beyond the 'right and wrong' ways to sing, we will explore what feels fun and joyful for you to feel when you sing.
Great for professionally trained singers, looking to re-connect back to the joy of singing, to absolute beginners wanting to develop a more authentic singing practise for themselves.
Sessions are also open to young people from ages 12+ just beginning their vocal journey.
