About Sophie

I am an A-Level student studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. In my GCSEs, I got straight 9s and A* distinction in Further Maths. I am currently in my final year of A-Levels and am predicted 4 A*s. In October I am starting a Mathematics degree at Oxford University. I have tutored multiple students in the past - both privately and in a school environment - with great results. I am enthusiastic about helping students of all ages whether they want to grasp a certain topic, improve their grades, achieve a particular grade in their GCSEs or A-Levels (or any other type of exam) and to help students preparing for University entrance exams such as the MAT or STEP papers.

About the lesson

I am passionate about inspiring students of all ages to enjoy studying Mathematics, and through my tutoring I aim to help you gain confidence in your mathematical abilities and to see clear improvements in your grades. I understand that a classroom environment can sometimes make it difficult to follow and grasp concepts straight away. Working through problem areas with an experienced tutor can be the perfect way to make the hardest topics seem much easier. We will work through many practice questions and past papers together, and will build up to the point where you are able to tackle them on your own. I will work hard to ensure you feel confident in the subject areas that you once struggled with, and we will work at a comfortable pace that will sure you are stretched to the best of your ability.
