About Mandy
Ms. Brown is a private music instructor in the Washington D.C. Metro Area, as well as her international online studio. She possesses over twenty years of teaching experience and uses her musical knowledge and performance background to create customized lessons for each of her students based on their learning style.
In addition to her teaching & guest lecturing, Mandy has a wonderful performance career. She has performed as a soloist with opera companies, numerous choruses and orchestras, and is a recitalist throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region and in Europe.
Several of her students have been accepted to prestigious university music programs, placed in competitions, and performed at venues such as the Music Center at Strathmore, the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, and the Kennedy Center. Others have had success with writing, recording, and performing their own songs around the globe.
Mandy earned a BM in vocal performance as well as an MM in opera performance.

Mandy creates customized lessons for each of her students based on their learning style and musical goals. She is happy to work in a variety of musical styles (classical, choral, musical theater, sacred, etc.) and welcomes students of all ages and abilities.

She has such an encouraging approach to teaching and she truly makes an effort to connect with each of her students, so that she is not only expertly teaching fundamental musical techniques but also helping students develop a love for music by giving them the space to explore and learn about the genres of music they're interested in.
