About Nicole

Hello! My name is Nicole, and I am a passionate South African teacher with 8 years of teaching experience, specialising in Grade R, Early Childhood Development, English and Afrikaans.
I absolutely love working with children and helping them grow in confidence, knowledge and communication skills. I am a patient, caring and enthusiastic teacher who believes that learning should be enjoyable and never feel like a chore.
I enjoy creating a friendly and welcoming classroom where children feel comfortable being themselves, asking questions and learning from their mistakes. I adapt my teaching to each learner because I believe every child has their own unique strengths and learning style.
I would love the opportunity to help your child learn, grow and develop a genuine love for learning. I look forward to meeting you and your little learner!

About the lesson

I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged and excited to participate. My teaching style is fun, patient, interactive and child-centred. With 8 years of teaching experience, I use age-appropriate activities, games, pictures, stories, songs, repetition and conversation to make learning enjoyable and meaningful.
What makes me unique as a teacher is my ability to create a safe and positive learning environment where every child feels confident to try, make mistakes and learn at their own pace. I am caring, enthusiastic and always adapt my lessons to suit the individual needs and personality of each learner.
I am proficient in English and Afrikaans and can teach both languages.
In a typical lesson, students can expect a friendly welcome, a clear learning goal and plenty of interaction. We may practise vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, speaking, numbers, colours, letters or basic language skills through fun activities and conversation. I always encourage participation and celebrate progress.
My lessons are mainly aimed at young learners, Grade R and beginner-level students, including children who are developing their English or Afrikaans language skills. Lessons can be adapted according to the learner's age, level, goals and individual learning needs.
