About Kutloano
Hello, I am a native South African speaker, currently living in Gauteng province. I have a bachelor of arts degree majoring in dramatic arts and psychology and a TEFL certificate. I have three years of teaching experience. From 2014 to 2018 I taught and tutored English to children. I am now interested in helping overcome issues of accessibility when it comes to receiving education. I have a passion for education and I believe it is everyone's right. If face to face learning isn't an option for you, online teaching is safe, accessible and has a wide reach. I want to help people develop their communication skills, no matter who they are or where they are.

My teaching style is a collaboration with the student because this allows the learning experience to be tailored to each student. My focus ranges from pronunciation to grammar. I encourage active learning by making the material for each lesson include the interests of the student. This encourages more meaningful engagement. When I start with a new student I start by assessing their current capabilities. From there I discuss their goals. I then go on to help the student achieve them. My lessons are based on a give and take; at the end of each lesson the student is given opportunity to reflect on and use what they learned during the lesson, and are given feedback promptly. This opportunity can be in the form of reading, conversing or responding to certain questions. The feedback the student receives allows them to know where they are by informing them of their accomplishments and areas where they can afford to improve.
