About Mario
As a bilingual speaker who grew up navigating two cultures, I bring a wealth of experience to the classroom. Both of my parents are bilingual educators, so I was fortunate to learn languages from an early age, immersing myself equally in both American and Spanish cultures. This background gives me a deep understanding of how language works not just on paper, but in real conversations—across different contexts, generations, and environments. My teaching isn’t just about language—it’s about connecting with people. I’m passionate about helping students become confident speakers in both English and Spanish, regardless of their starting point. I teach English and Spanish in a way that mirrors how I learned—through real conversation. My approach is simple and natural, focusing on connecting with students through discussions about things that matter to them. From chatting about games and social media trends to everyday activities like doing chores or navigating life’s little hurdles, I believe language becomes alive and engaging when we talk about what’s meaningful.
I teach all ages, from 9 to 100, because language is a tool for every curious mind, regardless of age. My lessons aren’t just about learning vocabulary or grammar rules—they’re about diving into conversations and using the language in real, practical ways. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to perfect your fluency, I meet you where you are.
A typical lesson might start with a short video clip or a post from social media to spark a discussion. From there, we jump into interactive activities—games, role-playing, and problem-solving—to practice what we’ve learned. I guide the conversation, making sure you get the right vocabulary and structure, but we keep it relaxed and fun. The goal is to make sure you feel comfortable speaking and understanding both languages, without the pressure of “perfect” grammar or forced exercises.
What sets me apart as a tutor is the way I bring real-life situations into the classroom. Whether it’s talking about family dynamics, cultural differences, or even the latest internet memes, I tailor each lesson to the student’s interests. I use what I know about the American and Spanish cultures to create lessons that feel authentic and engaging. My parents, both bilingual teachers, inspired me to approach language learning with creativity, fun, and a focus on connection.
