About Cristian

Hello! I'm a first-generation American, bilingual educator, and I've taught in a variety of school and community settings, public and private, to both youth and adults. I've worked with students of many different nationalities and backgrounds and enjoy helping them become more familiar with United States culture and customs, and of course I'm super comfortable with my fellow American learners. I teach beginning through advanced Spanish including reading and writing, English to speakers of other languages, and I just really love math and enjoy teaching it.

About the lesson

My lessons are based on the material that students bring to the lessons, but I am able to create original content upon request. I'll often ask students to work through problems for me first, and I'll help students identify mental roadblocks and find new strategies to understanding. I also check students' study and organization habits, and can help develop stronger systems that will support the student in between sessions. We will identify specific learning objectives for students to level up their mastery to reach academic or personal goals. I'm familiar with different approaches to education, including artificial intelligence as a tool, not a substitute for learning for more advanced students.
